“I strongly believe that communities should strive for self-reliance and collective
ownership of local resources, so a project like Growing with Grace, which enables
co-operatively owned, local food production, is a wonderful example of community
power and resilience in action. I'm very proud to be part of such an
ambitious group of people.”
--Cath Muller, Leeds.
“We invested because we wanted to support a local initiative, employing local people,
and selling local produce (A Local Service for Local People!).”
--Barry Hymers and Elizabeth Dawson, Bentham.
“Growing with Grace is an important asset that points a way forward for
local food production.”
--Roger and Chris Taylor, Settle.
“I want to support a local green initiative.. I have to put my savings somewhere.
Most investments cause environmental destruction in some way... this one does not...”
--Judith Allinson, Settle.
“I have become a share holder because I feel that the organic experience
that has been accumulated at GWG is going to be essential for the future of local organic food.
I feel that GWG will lead the way to a sane future. Thanks, Rod. ”
--Rod Everett, Middlewood.
We have been growing organically for more than 25 years. We think that Growing with Grace
is a beakon of light in what is becoming a very troubled world. We need to encourage
local food production based on organic methods and we are sure that the cooperative
will have economic and social benefits, locally and in the wider community.“
--Brian Appleby
“Here in Romania cooperatives are quite rare - because they gained a negative aura
during the dictatorship period. So, the city-people (like me) hardly get the occasion
to be in contact with them. I really wish to support a coop! I try to support
(as much as I can) as many grass-roots green projects.
I support a similar box program initiative here in Romania
(it is a bio/eco-agriculture initiative, but it is not a cooperative).
I volunteer for tree planting, I volunteer to take care of a school orchard,
I donate small sums for occasional tree planting programs.“
--Ioanna Florea, Romania.
